I took my dog here and they were exceptionally rude with me. The lady at the front desk was sure to let me know how big of an inconvenience it was for her to do her job. The vet visit wasnt bad but they didnt answer all my questions and it felt like they were just trying to get me in and out as fadt as possible. Terrible place. Go to any other vet besides ehat is now titus county vets.

I paid for my dog to be severely overdosed without permission, wounded, given an unneeded worm test, talked down to, and left with just as many questions as I walked in with.

The vet is very open about your pets needs and the staff is super nice and caring towards them.

Dr. Heintz is incredibly thorough, `kind and empathetic. We are so lucky to have her in Mt. Pleasant!

This is a great vet who has taken great care of my service and protection dog for a couple of years!

I took my dog Delilah in with concerns over some odd behaviors she was exhibiting. I was asked to leave her there because there wasn't anyone in yet to look at her. I wasn't happy with the thought of leaving her but I gave the list of symptoms and my phone number. I called an hour later to find that Delilah hadn't been looked at yet. After killing time for two hours I decided to just go sit in the office and wait. When I got there some rude woman kept referring to Delilah as "that dog" with a serious tone. Then she got pissy because I wanted to talk to the vet before agreeing to pay. They had decided to give Delilah X-rays, and supposedly given her a mild sedation to help with it (without contacting me to ask permission to use the sedative). Delilah supposedly had a reaction to the sedative that made her go the opposite direction of sedated and she supposedly got super hyper (jumping and running around and freaking out according to the vet). The vet said they weren't able to do X-rays because Delilah was too hyped up. She then talked down to me and told me there wasn't anything wrong and Delilah was normal and tried to prescribe medication for upset stomach. Delilah was a little groggy when she was brought to me, but that seemed normal enough for a "mild" sedative. I asked if they could go ahead and do the X-ray then since she was groggy and I was firmly and rudely told no. As I helped Delilah into the car I noticed a gash on her back leg that hadn't been there before. We had a 25 minute drive to get home, and I pulled over once to make sure she was actually still breathing because her breaths were so far apart. When we got home Delilah was so out I had to carry a 55lb dog into the house. Then I stayed at her side for two hours because her breathing was so slow. Delilah stayed completely knocked out until about 7 pm [8 HOURS after picking her up from the vet], and even peed on herself around 5 pm.

I switched to Dr. Gerdes at Cypress Springs Animal Clinic 2 years ago. He figured out what was wrong with Delilah and I've been extremely impressed with him ever since.
